The Hamptons Method (THM) is a combination of primary modalities including but not limited to Brainwave Entrainment, Neuro- Linguistic Programming (NLP) & Hypnosis. Essentially, a Solution Focused Approach to Spontaneously & Permanently Modifying Attitudes, Beliefs & Behaviors. THM also encourages incorporating complementary modalities to enhance the desired result/outcome of the therapeutic process. THM is intended as a support not a replacement for "traditional medicine". THM can work wonders on modifying behavior but underlying physiological factors must be considered and treated appropriately.
Brainwave entrainment is any practice that aims to cause brainwave frequencies to fall into step with a periodic stimulus having a frequency corresponding to the intended brain-state (for example, to induce sleep), usually attempted with the use of specialized software. It purportedly depends upon a "frequency following" response on the assumption that the human brain has a tendency to change its dominant EEG frequency towards the frequency of a dominant external stimulus.[
Hypnosis is "focused attention with heightened suggestibility". Please note that this This is a natural state of consciousness that individuals slip in and out of automatically throughout the day. When the state of hypnosis is facilitated by a trained practitioner immediate and permanent changes can be realized by the client.
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States in the 1970s. Its creators claim a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns learned through experience ("programming") and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.
In addition to the effective and popular "Quit Smoking Through Hypnosis" & "Your Permanent Weight Loss Solution" a variety of other programs are offered. These include but are not limited to the following:
